Organization
The CIP Society is a division of The Insurance Institute of Canada
and as such, reports into the national IIC Executive Committee and the
Board of Governors.
Mission Statement
"To advance the efficiency, expertise and ability of people employed
in the insurance and financial services business."
National CIP Society Council
A Chair, who is appointed by the Executive Committee, heads the
Professionals' Council. The Chair invites twelve qualified members,
representing all sectors of the CIP Society membership, to participate
on the council. The mandate of the Professional Council is to provide
development opportunities, new services and products for members of
the IIC's professional society.
Institutes and Chapters
Institutes and chapters work in partnership with the CIP Society or
Professionals'; Council, to achieve common goals. The majority of
institutes and chapters have set up CIP Society committees within
their local framework in order to carry out the mandate of the
Professionals' Council for their local graduate membership.
