General Information
The CIP Society is
the foremost professional organization for those working in the
p & c insurance industry in Canada. A division of The Insurance Institute of Canada, the CIP Society was established by
The
Institute's Board of Governors in 1998.
The Society's mission is to foster and promote professionalism and the
recognition of the CIP and FCIP designations as the premier
designations in property and casualty insurance. This mission guides
all of the CIP Society's initiatives and programs.
The Chartered Insurance Professional and Fellow Chartered Insurance
Professional designations represent an individual who is educated,
experienced, and ethical in the property and casualty insurance
industry. Both these designations set professionals apart from others
within the insurance business. As such, membership in the CIP Society
is restricted to Institute graduates who adhere to
The Institute's
Code of Ethics, continue learning to broaden their professional
development, and maintain membership in their local Insurance Institute.
