The CIP Society is a division of The Insurance Institute of Canada and as such, reports into the national IIC Executive Committee and the Board of Governors.

Mission Statement

"To advance the efficiency, expertise and ability of people employed in the insurance and financial services business."

National CIP Society Council

A Chair, who is appointed by the Executive Committee, heads the Professionals' Council. The Chair invites twelve qualified members, representing all sectors of the CIP Society membership, to participate on the council. The mandate of the Professional Council is to provide development opportunities, new services and products for members of the IIC's professional society.

Institutes and Chapters

Institutes and chapters work in partnership with the CIP Society or Professionals'; Council, to achieve common goals. The majority of institutes and chapters have set up CIP Society committees within their local framework in order to carry out the mandate of the Professionals' Council for their local graduate membership.
